Soon after Michael Francke's murder in January of 1989, Jodie
Swearingen, then 16, testified to the Grand Jury she saw Frank
Gable struggle with a well dressed man at the scene of the crime.
She made other statements when questioned by the police which
implicated Gable, although later recanted her testimony saying
she wasn't even at the scene, and that she only lied to protect a
boyfriend, Tim Natividad, who she really thought was involved in
the killing. She also claims police coached her into making her
initial statements, and that Deputy Prosecutor Sarah Moore and
the State Police allowed her and Shorty Harden to meet before
they testified at the Grand Jury proceedings in order to "get their
stories straight".

Jodie ended up serving a 6-7 year stretch at Oregon's Coffee
Creek facility in Wilsonville on a conviction unrelated to this case.

She was released i
n 2006, and has been in and out of jail on
various parole violations relating to drugs and other criminal
activities.

Jodie Swearingen's father dies in traffic accident

James M. Swearingen, 53, was pronounced dead at the scene after the 1985 Chevrolet pickup he was driving northbound on Highway
221 left the roadway, struck the front porch of a house and rolled over numerous times, Oregon State Police said.

The incident happened around 1:40 a.m. in the 24000 block of Wallace Road. No one was at the residence at the time of the accident,
police said.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.

Jodie Swearingen arrested by Keizer police

Within hours following the death of Jodie's father this news report was released:

Two people are in Marion County jail this morning on multiple charges involving a stolen vehicle that was later found torched in Salem.

Todd M. Clark, 35, and Jodie M. Swearingen, 34, were arrested by Keizer police late Monday night as the two attempted to run from a
house where they were holed up. The pair's address is not known at this time, police said.

Clark and Swearingen are accused of stealing a brown 1984 Mazda RX7 from an unknown Salem location. The car was later found
torched in the 2000 block of Bruce Street NE in Salem, police said.

Witnesses told police the suspects had set the car on fire then fled the scene in a white Jeep Cherokee.

Salem police requested assistance from Keizer police, who went to the home where the suspects were lodged after an officer spotted
the vehicle outside the residence.

In addition to charges related to the stolen and torched car, Clark also was charged with assaulting an officer.

Authorities said an investigation is ongoing.

Did you know Jodie was interviewed under hypnosis by one of the areas leading experts in the field?
That's right...

...a couple of years following Frank's trial, Jodie Swearingen consented to an interview and hypnosis by Dr. Stan Abrams. This is quite
a compelling interview with Jodie answering questions first, then being placed under hypnosis to answer questions again. She
reveals a sequence of events after being picked up by Tim (Rooster) Natividad the night of the murder that has the two of them
driving to a house located behind the Dome Building (Buck Burgess’s house) where Tim removes items from the trunk of his car while
Jodie sits and waits in the passenger seat. They then drive to the other side (front) where Tim parks in a parking lot, gets out, and
walks toward the Dome Building, again leaving Jodie in the car. He returns about twenty minutes later, and without uttering a word
between each other they drive to Shorty's house on Center Street.

Jodie has some interesting things to say about what transpired after that, and makes mention of former Assistant Attorney General
Scott McAlister, who she says she saw providing funds for Natividad to have methamphetamine made. She also believes McAlister
and Vince Taylor are responsible for contracting Natividad to murder Michael Francke.

There are many more interesting comments from Jodie throughout the interview. I urge you to take the time to review the video I
have provided of this interview.
The following are jpeg images of an actual letter I discovered while rummaging through the enormous amount of files
regarding this case. The letter was written and sent on 12/31/90 by Jodie Swearingen to Frank Gable. Both were incarcerated
at that time awaiting the trial.I have provided thumbnails that you can click on to view the full size images.
